My Casio Digital Celviano AP-80R Piano 'sustain' pedal isn't working?

My Casio Digital Celviano AP-80R Piano was moved recently. I hadn't played it for awhile before this. My sustain pedal isn't working now. I can't afford to have it inspected and fixed by a tech. What do I do to fix this problem? BTW: I'm technically challenged
How do you plug or unplug the pedal?
 
If it will unplug. Turn off the piano and unplug the pedal. Turn the keyboard back on. Hold the pedal down while you plug it back in.
If this does not work, try it all again but do not hold the pedal down,
