My car's headlights kill my car.. Help?

Yesterday i got off work went out to my car and put the keys in the ignition and as a result my radio came on but once i turned on my headlights my car completely died and i couldn't start it. I had to get a jump start, but once i got that i headed home. Once i got to my house i turned on my headlights again to see what was going on, but then my car died again. Does anyone know what is going on?
By the way.. i just replaced the battery and the alternator a couple weeks ago.

Why are you turning on your headlights with the engine off?

probably a short somewhere in the headlight wiring that's causing a huge drain

Batteries only last 4 or 5 years on average. Bite the bullet and get a new one and save yourself some agony!! Have the alternator charging voltage checked to be good at the same time for free!
