my card reader does not work on my acer aspire 5610 does not wok?

it used to work but not anymore, and im 90 percent sure its not working because i had to upgrade my computer to window 7 ( damn you best buy), i know that is why some of the buttons like my play, stop, and volume buttons don't work on my keyboard. i wanted to know if there were any drivers out there i could download that would fix these issues i have or will i never be able to use my card reader on my laptop ever again, along with a hand full of other things on my laptop that i used to be able to use but now cant
