...the exhaust, but the....? adjuster said if they have to replace that it may be considered totalled because of the cost. The thing is, the car drives great and the only reason I took it to have them listen to it is because it makes a different humming sound when I hit the breaks and am in drive. It only does this after it's been sitting over night and only for the first 15 minutes of the drive...then it's fine.
My question is, can the insurance company "make" me give up my car even if I don't want them to pay to fix it? Will they let me just fix it on my own later "if" it becomes an issue? They paid nearly $8000 on my claim alone to have my car fixed to what it is now...it doesn't make sense to give up on the repair now!
I'd rather just let it go because they won't give me much for my car and everything else with it is perfect. I'd never be able to buy a car near the quality of this one for the pennies they'd give me. Plus, I love this car and could not stand to give it up!
