My car was involved in an accident. I was not the driver, I was not aware that my car was involved. All I remember was going to my car and then waking up somewhere and being driven to the hospital. My car was left at the scene. I had to get it from the tow yard, which cost a lot. Then I had to hire a lawyer to get me out of the hit and run charge, that was a lot. Now, three months later I get a letter from the owner of the car that I car hit saying I owe them $9,000. I don't want to respond untl I get some legal help and advice, but then I don't want a law suit. Is there anyway I can get out of this. I didn't cause the accident and no one was there to witness it, but the police report would say it looks like my car hit the other car. Is there anything I can do??? Please help...
