Hi,
I own a Mazda 6 2006 Sport, Due to a rainstorm in my city, i drove to an area which is the only way to my house, and only noticed the high level of water till it was too late, across the road atleast 30 Cars fried out and abandoned (alot of them brand new), and many cars beside me stopped working as they drove through.
The water level was about to the height of the exhaust pipes (this means the exhaust pipes were immersed in the water) . While i drove i could see white smoke coming out of the front hood, and i can smell "burning odor" , i somehow drove through the flood with my mazda and survived through it. Drove about 4 Miles after that with no issues, and then parked my car at home.
I am now scared to switch on the engine tomorrow morning, i'm afraid to kill it. Should i be worried, should i do something before starting it, or should i just go about my business ? Do you think water entered the engine ?
Appreciate your help thanks.
