Hi, i got a 1998 nissan sentra 1.6L manual. for a while whenever i'm driving through town or i'm on highway in traffic and have to use 2nd or 1st gear, i have to be extremely gentle when i let of the gas other wise the car will jerk and jolt.
Just last week my transmission failed so i had to get it replaced, while the car was in being fixed my friend suggested to change engine mounts because that may fix the jerkiness problem.
a week later i got my car back new transmission ( well it came from 60,000km donor car, compared to my old one at 268,000km) and polyurethane engine mounts (these are very stiff so some of the engine vibration goes through the car). Nevertheless the problem is still here, slow speed 1st and 2nd gear let of throttle and it jerks and jolts.
What can it be?
