normal problem? I own a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-r Spec-V with a manual transmission, and I just noticed this sound, the car just hit 75k miles. The sound is almost like a grinding sound but not as severe. The car drives and shifts great. It seems that a lot of people who drive manual transmissions have this sort of problem, but is this serious or can I get away with ignoring the sound?

That noise is the drive shaft bearing inside the transmission. The reason it stops when you push the clutch in is because the shaft stops turning. Probly will last another 50-100 thousand miles without leaving you stranded. It will gradually get louder though.
