my car died on me can someone help me?

My car (1988 300e Mercedes Benz) died on me many times. So I decided to take it to the shop. I bought all the parts and took it to my mechanic. I got my fuel pump, starter, fan clutch, engine mount, fan clutch housing, battery replace. Also got a tune up. So my car has been working fine for two months with no problem until yesterday when I was driving home on the freeway. I was going 70 mph & then all of a sudden the speed of my car just increased. That's when i was like what the.... and i press the gas peddle and It just basically died on me. I pull my car to the far left lane. And just waited 5 minutes. To start my car up. It started up. So I turn back onto the free way and drove home. When I was about to turn into the parking lot to park my car & it died on me once again. So I don't know what is wrong. Can someone help me? And please don't give me an answer that says to get a new car.
