My Car coolant have some smoke coming out of it...what's wrong with my car?

confused

I was dropping of my friend to the airport and the car started to be in smokes so i opened up the hood and the Engine Coolant was it was coming from. So I thought it was okay to cool it a little bit and continue driving, since it was freezing cold outside i let it cool for a bit...but then i got in to the highway it started loosing power then the engine started making noise like GGGGRRRRRRRRR, so i thought my head gasket must be blown up, and i had to stop twice on ma way home to cool the car down in order for me to get to my house ...so i drove ma car some what to ma house and stopped it there...the Engine Coolant was in steam and smoking...i saw the container and it was rusty and i let it cool till there was no more smoke and i opened the Engine coolant and there was no coolant in there and when i looked in the ground there was some water like leaks and it was leaking bad...but the Engine still starts, and when I gave the engine a gas pump the Exhaust was not smooth air out, meaning it breaks and give like a drum (dum dum dum) noise, i checked the oil and the car had some oil in there but the heater was off so i figured the no coolant=no heat...so my question is

1. Is the Head Gasket blown up? or
2. Further more could the Engine block or Engine itself be cracked? or needs a New Engine?
3. Is the car worth anything?
4. Could it be fixed just by adding some anti-freeze coolant and water?
5. how much would it cost me to get it done?

I have a Ford Taurus 2001....please help if you know anything...Thanks
