My car air conditioner isn't working. It works, but it gives me only hot

air. How can I fix it? I have a 2001 Saturn SL2 and the heat works fine, and when I turn on the air conditioner, it also works but only hot air comes out. The fan seems to be working too. Is there a way I can fix this without going to a mechanic? How and how much will it cost?
