My car. Again.

Do that. Talk to your boss IN PERSON tomorrow and tell him you've had a problem with your car. It looks better for you because you made a concerted effort to get there on time. Calling him in the morning will not look good. Trust me.

While on it, I'm wondering why you have only one friend you think you can count on to take you to work a few times. If you're always "getting fucked" by your friends, I suggest you seriously take a look at yourself and how you treat people. I'm not jabbing at you, it's just some friendly advice from someone who's been forced to do the same. Regardless, that's not the topic here.

Good luck.

How I treat my friends?! I am TOO nice. I help them out and they fuck me over. Just recently even, I let my "friend" have her Comcast in my name. What happened? The bill got to almost $500, the cut off her cable, internet and phone, and now I can't get ahold of her. Does she try to contact me? No. Stupid mistake, I know. But I trusted her. She was my "friend".

If you've been burned as often as I have, you would be a little leery yourself.

I have other friends here, but they either live too far away from me or have to be at work earlier than I do. I could get a ride "every once in a while", I'm sure, but that doesn't fucking help me.

I'll go to work tomorrow, and regardless of being terminated, I'll still be paid for that day.

Hahaha! Once when I lived with my best friend in Denver, we were poor, so I told by aunt that Ashley and I made rent by prostituting out on Colfax. Then Ashley says, "No, we don't." I say, "Okay, honestly, Ashley only gives hand jobs, but I do everything else. EVERYTHING!" I had her believing me there for a bit, I think.

Thanks, though. :)

I would probably believe you too, based on some of the things I've seen you say on this site.
As for your friends who have to go to work earlier than you do, get a ride anyway. So you have to sit for a while.... bring a book. Early is better than late.
Also, if you make it in tomorrow, maybe you can make friends with someone else who works at the same place, and carpool. That's what I used to do when I didn't have a car.

Eh, didn't feel like writing an update. But, okay, since you love me and care about me so much.

I went in, worked for a bit, asking around for people that lived close to me (NO ONE - I live waaaay out east by an Air Force Base in the ghetto) and couldn't find anyone. I told boss lady and she told me she was sorry, then called someone in to take my place, lol.

I moved to the ghetto to live close to my sister. I moved from downtown to live in the ghetto. I find that the ghetto life is not for me.

My location is also the reason the bus won't get me there in time.

So yeah.

I just got fired from my job for calling off to take my son to the hospital two times in two weeks, so I know how you feel. It always takes one to two months to find a job, go through all the interviews, sign all the papers, start, then get your check two weeks later. Bleh.

Thanks, guys.

My new car will run. That's all I care about. I plan on spending at least 1500. The rest for registration and tags. Maybe some dank bud for my troubles. ;)

This reminds me of a song from Monty Python...

Besides that, I'm glad things worked out for you Mdot. Funny how things always seem the worst before they get better...

*tokes and passes*

What song?

I hope it's not the sperm song from "Meaning of Life" because that's the only one that comes to my mind at the moment, and it has NOTHING to do with cars.
