My brand new blackberry 8330 doesn't turn on.?

This BB curve won't turn on - I plugged it into the wall and put the battery in and everything and the screen just shows the battery blinking - this has been going on for 5 hours.

How do I get it to turn on? Will the blackberry warranty replace it?

I got it on craigslist, I can't replace it
