He doesn't have an extra or anything, how would you get a new key?
Would he have to call the place where he bought his bike and order a new key or call a locksmith, or something else?
He has a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C50. The dealership is about 10 miles away.

The dealer can cut a new key. He will need the VIN number of his motorcycle and proof that he owns it. The new key will not be cheap either.

a lock smith is a lot faster than a any dealer will be ,they wont be any cheaper but at least they can come right out and do it,that way he will get it done faster ,any dealer can also do it but the need a key number or a vin number to go by,i always call a lock smith for things like that its faster ,good luck on it.

What year bike, did you buy from a dealer, is there a dealer for that type of bike in your area? need alttle more info

There should be a number code that the dealer can use to determine the key to use. Sometimes you have to flat bed tow it to the dealer for them to figure out which key to use. If they can't do it that way they will have to replace the whole key & lock starting system which is a little on the expensive side. Call the dealer... they are the ones who can truly answer this question. Make sure he has at least 2 spare keys next time.
