friend not his girlfriend, why? My boyfriend says he loves me with all his heart but i feel like his friend rather than his girlfriend most of the time. he will say something sweet then ruin it by doing something "funny" like licking me or something... he's never serious or romantic and i've realized that i've started initiating sexual things everytime i see him even though i don't really want to because its the only time he ever treats me like he wants me and gives me un-joking attention. He makes a joke out of everything i say and interupts me while doing it... he's embarrassing in public but he says he's just having fun. Whenever i tell him all of this which i have done numerous times he says he doesnt know how to do anything else and so i end up just saying nevermind 'cause i get too upset. His idea of cuddling is laying next to me with my head on his arm and watching tv... thats it, or he has me turn towards him and he "hugs me" while he watches tv and i stare at a wall. Does he actually love me and why is he doing this? Guys and girls opinions please, thanks

try not initiating the sexual things yourself, if he likes it and wants it enough he'll show you by doing it himself.

Okay, maybe this guy is insecure.. Or he doesn't like the commitment of having a girlfriend. He says he loves you, so I'm not going to tell you he doesn't..Tell him the things he does makes you uncomfortable, but you have to really have a serious talk with him. Make him pay attention. Sometimes, guys just tell you they love you for the sex.. They also look at relationships differently then girls. Just try to really talk to him. Maybe he's just scared of being serious with you?
