i'm 16, dating a guy who is 20. we've been together for a little over 7 months, but our relationship has grown rapidly, and we are hopelessly in love. my parents don't know we are dating, because they flipped out the first time we did. but there is the possibility that in a week, he could go to jail for 2 years max. i love him so much, but im not sure if i could wait for him that long. i dont want to lose him when he comes back, but im so unsure of what to do. it would be through my junior & senior year of highschool. he is my rock; my support. and not being able to see him for 2 years, let alone barely talking to him, will be the hardest thing i've ever done. should i wait for him, or give up my love?
the reason he might be going to jail:
we broke up for a brief period of time in april, and in that time he started dating a girl, same age as me, and slept with her. she was stupid and told her mom, who pressed charges. so now hes in court for that, and the max he can get is 2 years. min is probation, but we both don't know what that entails.
