My boyfriend broke up with me 'cause I asked him to get STD test!!?

Tonight my boyfriend of one month broke up with me 'cause I asked him to get an STD test.

He got offended and said I was implying he's dirty and dishonest. I told him it's not that at all, that I just want to be extra safe; but he was so like, disgusted with me for implying these things that he got up, said "catch you later" and left.

Was my request that he get the STD test unreasonable?
To the person who wrote "you are a wh**re" ... seriously? That's so inappropriate. I've been with three guys. How many have YOU been with?
 
In this day and age it's prudent to make sure that you know what you're taking to bed.
If your ex b/f was offended, that's his problem. You were wise in protecting yourself and shouldn't feel bad for having done so.
 
NO! He;s in the wrong not you! It's perfectly fine to ask your boyfriend to get and STD test done and is very sensible so well done for thinking about it :).

It's his problem that he took it the wrong way not yours and I respect you that you took control of the situation and thought about the risks involved with STDs.
 
no good for you! sorry things worked out that way but you should respect yourself and check for sure, you have a good head on your shoulders :)
