It sounds like your boyfriend was arrested because of a Failure to Appear.
In many cases the court will require "no bond" until the court has an opportunity to see why the defendant failed to appear.
In other cases there is a bond set, even when there's a failure to appear.
If such a bond was set...your boyfriend can post bond during the weekend.
