my boost mobile phone?

I have a motorola i560 with the unlimted everything for 50$ a month.
on my phone when ever i want to see a text message it has to DOWNLOAD first. this can take anywhere from 10 secs to about 30seconds. it also had to send them for like 10 secs.

What i wanna know is if there are any boost mobile phones where you dont have to DOWNLOAD messages. ???? if not what can i do to help this problem out.

Also, the battery will last like 4 hours of no use to moderate use and then itll start to die. is this normal???

I think you need to take it back to the shop u shouldnt need to download any text messages only multimedia messages and i use my phone for about 6hr continuely downloading and web browsing b4 it dies after a full charge
