My Body

Blah Blah, My body my choice, blah blah. Hey guess what, the minute you ( i use you in a general sense not directed toward you personally) opened your legs and had sex you gave that up. You knew fair and well that there is a possibility, even if your on birth control and its .001%, that you could and probably eventually would get pregnant. Abortion isn't a solution to a problem, it is running from a problem. Abortion is a way for someone who cant handle their own problems to run. YOU made the choice to have sex, YOU should take on the consequences of your actions.

Now on another note no, i don't think anyone should be able to tell you what you can and cannot do. PERIOD. Nor do i think someone should be looked down upon for their actions. Now i may not approve of abortion, gay marriage, premarital sex, but i do not judge those who do.

When it comes to having your tubes tied or using other forms of contraceptive, meh to each their own. After 6 kids my mom had her tubes tied with good reason. Its better than getting an abortion.

the issue of abortion in my op is fueled by fears from politicians of a declining rate of birth in westernized countries. every year people chose to have smaller families or go childless. why is the gov't worried about this? some neurotics even fear extinction of the "white man" or western civilization (being PC-this is everyone except for immigrants). sound stupid? yeah it is, fear and stupidity are a dangerous mix.

therefore by limiting the number of abortions through legislation it is believed the birth rate will rise, and hopefully create a much needed baby boom to support future generations of people (read: gov't). this doesn't make sense b/c if they revoke abortion rights only the poor will not get abortions anymore, while immigrants will still keep on having massive families (besides, immigrants aren't likely to get abortions in the first place normally), leading to having the opposite desired effect of wealth creation. those stuck in the middle will be forced to give up their children or keep the unwanted pregnancy which would further divide the social classes. (widening the gap even further between middle and upper class).

that being said...it's purely moronic. the idea gov't in this day and age is attempting to throw us back in time by regressing on issues such as abortion, is ludicrous. who the fuck do they think they are?!!?

what it boils down to is,
-this isn't for the common man: be he middle class or a religious zealot
-this isn't for women
-this isn't for the unborn children
-this is not to better america.
...then who is it for?

give me one outstanding reason, debate me. tell me the positive socio-economic impact revoking abortion rights will have and i will prove, you sir, are full of shit.:mfinger:

Sorry to do this, I totally agree with all you're saying, but I can't let the language we speak come upon such rape.

1. I'm is not capitalized. First letter, first word. Not a good start.
2. US should be U.S. It's an abbrev.
3. anyhoo is not a word, and not capitalized despite first-in-sentence status.
4. Another I'm not capitalized. I'm not even going to say this again.
5. poloticians is not a word. The correct spelling is politicians.
6. More capitalization, again, no more on this.
7. Dickhead is one word, not "dick head." Tee-hee.
8. polotician again.
9. Therefore is one word.
10. Repitition of the word over. Not good reading.
11. Pompous misspelled as "pompus."
12. These needs to be change to "those."
13. Deep-seeded is a hyphenated word.
14. Beginning a sentence with a "but."
15. Weather should be changed to whether.
16. Misuse of "its." Should be "it's."
17. ...hanging myself ... dieting ...
18. You exorcise? See, I've got this demon in my basement ...
19. Morning-after pill requires hyphen.
20. "take birth control" You mean "take birth control pills."
21. Obviously you don't understand communism. Communism is an economic system, and has nothing to do with personal freedoms. The words "Facist" or "Autocratic" would fit here.
22. Why would you want to expel a right as an evil spirit?
23. Limited FOR them, not TO them.
24. "std's" Change to STD's.
25. Pregnancies misspelled.
26. "How often ARE free condOms ..."
27. Too many damn periods. Three is plenty, but don't overdo it.
28. You forgot the apostrophe in "individual's right."
29. "isen't?" Are you even trying?
30. "... so may as well to to make it safer, so children aren't becomming parents when they themselves are children." Where is the SUBJECT in this sentence? We should hire a private detective!

I, I'm not going on... this is sad. For each grammatical error you make on the internet, God kills a wombat. Please, if not for the language you're slaughtering, for the wombats.

Really? Because your first paragraph was nothing BUT judgemental.

You want abortion eliminated and yet you probably hate the idea of teaching anything but abstinance in sex ed classes. So basically, what that agenda does is create a problem (e.g. people uneducated about safe sex) and then remove the only viable solution to that problem (e.g. abortions). You're unwilling to educate, and then you're unwilling to deal with the problems the lack of education creates.

Besides that, it's not YOUR body. It's hers. What makes you think you have the right to tell me, or anyone else what is right or wrong? And where do you stop? I mean it's ok for black men to marry white women now but it didn't used to be. It was WRONG. I guess next you'll tell me that tattoos are wrong and that I can't have any.

Nymph, as you can see it's a big issue in the states. There are people that are willing to accept abortion as a necessary evil and then there are people that are dogmatic and unwilling to accept the choices other people make.

I think we should keep abortion just because if someone's enough of a dumbass to get a baby at a time they didn't want one, they're probably too much of a dumbass to raise a child not to be one.

The doctor was right in asking your dad if he wanted this to happen. Imagine the shit he'd be in if your mom was whoring with some rich Yuppie sucking the teat of wealth while living the dream life of a modern (for lack of a better word) whore. She wants her tubes tied so she can have condomless sex and get paid better by the person she is sleeping with. I'm not saying thats what your mom is. I'm saying that is one of a billion possibilities and since your father does own some right to your mother's sexual reproductive system (before you spasm in contortions, read later my point about marriage, this is what I mean), then he should be informed and asked whether he agrees. If say your dad didnt agree, then the doctor would refer back to your mom and tell her he can't do it. Then if your mom couldn't talk it out with your dad, then she could get a divorce and go crazy cutting her body and mutilating it all she wants. The thing is, she took a vow, a sacred vow that is, I find, more and more often now lost in flowery words and expensive weddings. She took a vow to love and to hold her husband. Similarily, your dad took a vow to love and to hold his wife. If your dad wanted to get a Visectamy (or whatever the male version of tubes tied is called) then I feel the doctor would notify your mother, and if she did not agree he could not continue. The issue here is that in marraige, there is a strong bond between husband and wife that should be held sacred. After all, the Catholic church does not give divorces, however, if the married couple do not agree on the issue of having children, then the church will denounce the marraige as if it never existed. This is important to consider. The kids are more important than us. If your too selfish to know this then you deserved to be controlled by the upmost of stifling political fucks. Secondly, PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR BODY. Get this straight you fucktard hippies. IF an abortion did not involve the killing of a new life, then it would not be an issue. It would only be as bad as drugs or what not. Since you women are the ones blessed(or cursed whichever you prefer to take it) ones to bring new life forth and nurture it, the weight and guilt of abortions fall straight on your shoulders. It is a responsibility of yours. It is not something you can play with. Go ahead mutilate your bodies as much as you want, but please, the future of mankind depends on you. Take it as a compliment. You loose sight of the big picture when you start bitching about politicians trying to enforce abortion laws. they dont give a shit about you. they only care about the baby in your womb, the person who just might be mankinds next savior. fucking hippies.

The phrase "Now on another note" does not mean you can completely ignore what you previously said and go with something more lenient in hopes that it will make you more appealing to the audience.

Fence-sitters can't decide which side to be on.

ok mr stop grammar rape. i care not what you have to say about my spelling or grammar. if you want to contribute then do so, if you want to nit pick then meet me in B&T where i can rip you a new asshole. enough said.

Not a bad argument, and completely true.

But.

Abortions are not about the woman. You're killing off new life. Thats where the problem lies. The fact that restricting abortions restricts a womans human right is a side affect of trying to preserve the newborns right to SIMPLY having a CHANCE.

Now it is a matter of which do you think is more important. The new-life's chance to live, or preserving the female's right to do as she pleases.

Some men will opt for the newlife's chance, some men will opt for the woman's right. Some women will opt for the newlife's chance, some women will opt for the woman's right. Deep down who do you opt for?

Deep down I'm not a fundamentalist and am willing to admit that it's not a new life if it's not viable in an of itself. It can't live outside of her body it's not a life, it's a parasite. It's her choice to allow the parasite to grow into a life in and of itself or to rid herself of said parasite.

Your dogma not-withstanding that embryo can't live outside of her womb, thus by definition it's not a "life".

Bold and caps emphasis mine. You fail. Stop posting.

You write as if you prove that the embryo is not life. I think you failed every math course that you took beyond elemetary calculus. Your opinion that the embryo is not a life of its own is justified to some extent. You mention that the newlife cannot live outside the mother and that fact is all too true. Obviously if you consider this to be the absolute definition of life in your head and your heart then I cannot change your stance on the matter. I dont need to.

However I would ask you to consider the following words. Let's say that you were conceived in your mother's womb at some point in time. At this point in time you have no brain, no memory no nothing. If you are aborted at this time some people might argue that no harm has come because the victim has no feelings, is not human. Just a pile of cells that might have developed into a healthy being. Regardless of whether the pile of cells had feelings or not, its CHANCE of become a healthy human being are forfeit, aborted. Is there a difference between a vandal's intentions when he comes to a farmer's field at the beginning of sowing season and digs up the seeds and lets them wither, and when he comes in harvest season when the stalks move in the wind and sets them a fire? From an observer's point of view there most certainly is not.

I agree 100%
being pro-life or pro-choice, is all fine and dandy...but it should be a personal choice, not a political hot-button.

i myself am pro-life, but who is anyone to say what a woman can and can't do with her body?

anyone who has never been in a situation where they would have to choose, i think is unfit to pass judgement on others.

So you're morally opposed to changing the future? Is that your stance against abortion? Because it changes what MIGHT be?

You know what, I had a wart removed from my finger too. It was just a pile of cells. Given the right circumstances there was a chance it too could have grown into a life.

From a purely scientific/biological standpoint, that pile of cells is NOT a human life. Aborting it is NOT taking anything away from it. Your argument is based purely on theological speculation as to when life begins. That alone should tell you that you don't have the right to tell me or anyone else what to do.
