My blurb for my novel?

So, just about ten minutes ago I was going to answer a question called "Help with plot?". This girl wanted me to create a plot for her. I got really creative with the answer and then I suddenly realised: hey, this is really good and I want to use it ahah. Do you sometimes think that: you think of a really plot for someone else and then you want to use it youself. Anyway, I was bored so I made a blurb for my plot. I don't even know what's going to happen in the novel and I know it's a very long process. It's going to be pretty crappy though because I'm only thirteen and I've never written a novel, but practise is everything so yeah...
Here it is:

Luna and Crystal thought it would be an ordinary week alone when their parents went off for the week on a hiking trip to spend some quality time with each other. But, one dreadful afternoon they discovered their parents had died in a mysterious accident. Alone and grieving, the girls had to move to their enigmatic Aunt Caroline's house which was ironically a fifteen minute drive from the lake where their parents died. The sisters' curiosity took over them and they took a trip to the lake that would change everything. They told their aunt about their dangerous trip to the lake and they bombarded her with countless questions that she hesitated to answer. That's when they realised they didn't have the slightest inkling of how their parents actually died. So how did they actually die? But, the real question is: how far will the sisters go to find the answer?

I have a few questions about the blurb.
Should it be: 'The sisters curiousity took over them and they took a trip to the lake that would change everything'.
Or instead: 'The sisters curiousity took over them and they took a trip to the lake that changed everything'.

And should it be: 'But, the real question is: how far will the sisters go to find the answer?'.
Or instead: 'But, the real question was: how far will the sisters go to find the answer?'.

Also, pretend this was a real book. If you read this blurb would you read the book? If you don't think it's that interesting how can I improve the blurb?
Thank you everyone!
