My bluetooth headphones are too loud with iPod?

I got the 3.0 software update for my iPod touch so it has bluetooth and i just bought a pair of LG heaphones to use with it (LG HBS 200 headphones). When im using the headphones with my ipod i can only control the volume by using the buttons on the headphones...the ipod volume doesnt do anything. The problem is that on the lowest volume setting, the headphones are too loud. Is there anyway that i can make it lower??

and please dont say buy new headphones
