My blackberry storm wont turn on?

the battery died and when i charged it it wont turn on the red light comes on but it still wont turn on and when i plug it into the wall the screen turns white with the charging icon to say it is charging but i still cant turn it on and when i plug it in to the pc the pc recognizes it is there but still nothing, and i have a hard snap on case and i cant figure out how to take it off to get to the battery what do it do
 
if it completely dies, then it takes like 2 hours to restart back up to the point of texting.

blackberry storm 2 owner.
it happened to me before, i never let it die from there on out.
just plug it in and dont mess with it. ..ha ha
