My blackberry keeps giving me an hour glass.....?

what is this all about. I don't have loads of thing on there and besides aren't blackberry's suppose to handle loads of stuff? It happens all the time, I can't make a call or take one. And half the time I can't even access t-zones ( i have t-mobile) I've talked to t-mobile but not much luck. What could this be?
