My BlackBerry is slowing down on me, how should I fix it?

I got my hand-me-down BlackBerry Pearl 8100 about a week ago as a birthday present, I've dropped it multiple times already. and now the BrickBreaker game is slowing down and freezing temporarily on me. As in, it might hit the wall, freeze for a second, continue it's path. Other problems, mainly with the game. Is there a way to fix the phone?
