Me and two other friends were out riding when we saw an abandoned building, as two of us are both studying photography we thought it could be a great photo opporchunity and entered the premises not thinking we were doing wrong, we later got told to leave the building by the owner which did straight away, then got caught by the police on suspicion of burglary about 20 minutes later near by and got locked up for 15 hours without anyone telling us are what was going on. finally we got to give are statement and given the situation got let of without any charges. when arrested we told the offices we had bikes locked up right by the property and they said they would be OK . when let out we were informed by the police are bikes were no longer there and had been stolen. I think i am right in saying that it was the responsibility of offices and the police station to collect are bikes and bring them in due to they were responsible for us and are possessions at the time of arrest , are bike ranged from 400-800 pounds each. do i have the right claim the money back of the police??
