my bike is sparking when the points are opening?

ok my bsa c25 isnt sparking when the points shut but when they are opening??? when shut if you slightly start to push the points open it sparks? why is it? help? or is it supost to? but if i take the unit apart and make a circuit on my work bench with a diffrent coil and a battery (the bike runs on a battery) it dows the same thing????
 
It's normal for points to spark when they're open, but it doesn't say anything about the timing, which could be wrong.
Think about it - sparking plugs spark when the are open too (which is always).
 
If it is a very small almost undetectable spark, then it is normal. However if it is large spark then the condenser for the points is bad.
