My BF and I broke up yesterday and I am confused?

We broke up a lil while ago and he slept with his best friends sister during our break up. We got back together again a few weeks ago and he broke up with me cause he feels uncomfortable around me from guilt. He told me he is going to tell his best friend as the guilt is eating at him. Before I left he told me he loves me and needs some time alone. I miss him and wondering if over time we will get back together again? I am upset bout him sleeping with her as I know her and know what a tramp she is...
