ok i know alot of these answers can be conflicting but honestly i have had many bettas and all of them have been in small bowls with out filters and heater, and all my bettas have been fine! ur betta is just begging for food, thats all but be careful, dont overfeed! as long as you clean the bowl often ur fishy should be fine, good luck!

fin back &forth? until i give him his food. i got him from TINY, dirty bowl at "Pet Store Plus" is this normal for a fish? i've never seen it before. (his food container is right in front of his new bowl.)
the bowl is much bigger. (plus, im 15, i cant afford a new 1)

Yea its normal its mean he want the food like baby wants its bottle but please move him to a tank and don't keep him in a bowl its no better than the one he was in and remember do 25% water change every week if the fish tank has a filter

Good Luck!

I would say that is his way of begging. Its good you saved him, but unfortunately he does need a tank, with a heater and filter. Bettas need to be in 76-82 degree water, and need to have at least 2.5 gallons.
I understand about not having money, I think the whole country understands that :) You can try craigslist in your area. I see fish tanks all the time for free, or for real cheap. Right now, I would take what I could get; meaning if they don't have a filter or heater then dont worry about it, at least get the tank. Get your whole set up in pieces if you need to. But do try to keep his temperature between those degrees.

Yes my betta stays to the left of his tank, that's where the food is and he also heads straight to the top of the tank when I come XD Also 2 gallon bowls do work... but your betta won't be very happy in it, get a him a 5+ gallon tank and I recommend doing a 50-100% water change every week if you don't have a filter.
