My betta fish is starting to stick his head in his rocks?

I've had him for 2 years now and he's never done it before. is he gonna die?

It could be that he might be getting to old or otherwise he might be really hungry.

the same is happening with mine, it seems that it gets hungry and looks for the flakes that floated down to the rocks to get some extra food, you shouldnt change your daily routine of food hes just probally bored and wants to snack a bit, but however its not a good thing because not only food is down there...............
