My betta fish is getting picked on?

Well, I have a ten gallon tank equipped with a heater, filter, bubble wand etc. Inside it has plenty of foliage, mostly plastic (I have just started growing real plants in there, supposed to be better for them) and a little cave type shelter thing. I used to have four neon tetras and three female bettas which got along fine but two of the bettas died. (it was the pH levels which is now fixed)

Anyways, I bought three bettas and added them gradually into the tank. The original female, which is the most passive, has been getting picked on and her fins are in tatters. Should I put her in an isolation tank and treat her and then add her back in? Or should I keep her in the ten gallon and add some medication to the tank? Or should I just separate her indefinately? The other three bettas get along with each other fine.

I have had the new bettas for about two weeks. Should I not worry, since they are still establishing the pecking order? or should it have settled a while ago?
 
OHHHHHH big mistake

betta fish also known as siamese fighting fish (FIGHT) you probably need dividers if you want to keep these fish

1 never keep more than 1 male in your tank
2 never keep a male and femal together unless for mating
3 never keep betta fish together (unless from the same group of eggs)


otherwise these fish will die (I feel sorry the girl)
 
I had two bettas and I kept them in separate small tanks. I was afraid they would harm each other. If I were you, I would remove the passive fish for her safety and fins.
 
you should separate her from the other fish and have her by her self. as i am saying this i don't mean forever . when you have 5 minutes of free time add her back in to the tank with the others. i say this because as she is in the tank with the others you could watch their behavior towards each other . after you have done that for about 2 weeks but 2 times a week study there new behavior but for 10 minutes. because you had five minutes to learn their behavior but after 2 weeks as the 3rd week starts observe for ten minutes one time only.by then they should be more like friends . i said ten the last time because you would observe more time than you did before you tried the last time for 10 minutes.
