It's in a 3 gallon tank, no filter or anything, because I think it prefers calm non-moving water. I didn't feed it for a week because I guess I took too much time studying. And I think it got swim bladder
I took it out of the tank and placed it in this container that was filled up 2 inches. I didn't want it to use too much energy swimming up for food or air. So I tried feeding him a pea. He didn't eat it, so I left it in the water. Around 10 minutes later I come back, the pea's smaller and its on the other side of the container, so I assumed he ate it.
I went outside for a while, came back, and there's this HUGMONGOUS piece of poop next to him, nearly the size of his head! But he still has trouble swimming up, and it looks like swim bladders still getting to him.
I'm about to move him into this 1 gallon undergravel filter tank temporarily, but I'm scared he'll die of exhaustion coming up for air.
What do I do?
Well, he looks perfectly fine right now if you just look at him. He just chills at the bottom of the tank, and occasionally gets up for air. He leans to the side too, that's because of swim bladder though.
He had a big stomach before today, because I overfed him, I don't think he pooped other then the pea incident.
Also, it sorta panics whenever I'm near it. Breaking my heart right now.
Also, is the one gallon under-gravel filter tank fine for right now? Just so he can heal.
Last thing. Will he recover from swim bladder? Because some dude from another forum said that swim bladder is permanent, please tell me it isn't..
Oh the poop was like round, and dark colored. It wasn't stringy, Damn thing was like the size of his head
