my beta fish has one big white spot on the base of the body near the tail..its kinds cauliflower looking with some red small lines on it.it did have another white spot on it in the same place but on the other side of the body, but i treated it with some anti fungal stuff and the one on the other side completely cleared up.the one white spot was clearing up but now it got bad again, does anyone know what this is,,,its not ick, cause it just one big white spot kinda cauliflower looking
just to stress there is only one big white spot on the base of his tail,,,not many tiny ones like ick,,my fish does not have ick,ive seen it before and this is not ick

It's probably some type of fungus. When my fish got stuff like that I'd slowly (over a day or two) raise the temperature to 75-80 degrees. Almost no bacteria or viruses can survive in that environment. But you have to do it slowly so the fish can adapt. Leave the temperature high for at least 3 day and it should clear up. try NOT to pump a bunch of fish meds into the tank, they often do more damage than good.

"Ich looks like tiny white spots on the body and fins of the fish. This is a common disease of fish, and if the fish are treated immediately, you can usually cure ich and avoid more serious stress and disease."

Ich spots seem to fit the description you gave—I'm not sure where you're coming from regarding cauliflower, but if this seems accurate, there was another link it suggested to enlighten you as to the treatment.
