My best friend made me drive his Hummer today?

My friend got this new Hummer 6 months ago and he'd been wanting me to drive it. We hang out a lot so today he tossed me the keys and told me that I'm going to drive and to not worry because he have great insurance coverage on it. I told him that I didn't want to drive it but he wouldn't leave me alone until I did it. Now he's telling me that i'm going to drive it every time we go some where etc. Why would he want me to drive it when it's his?
 
Well, maybe the novelty has worn off to him, or, he wants you to be in the driver's seat figuratively speaking also, and it's a hint. I am only saying that because the girl I fancy has no problems with me driving her around, maybe it's symbolic.
