my health visitor told me my baby's weight and head circumfrance had dipped on charts (length fine) and to see a gp. at first the gp was going to refer baby to specialist but after consulting with other doc they decided to wait for 2 weeks and check baby's weight then. he is 17 weeks and exclusively breastfed. he was 8lbs2 at birth and now 12lbs2. i havent notices any feeding problems. he sometimes spews up a bit. healthy looking bowel movements. very alert, very active. he babbles and coos, smiles, chuckles, recognises fav people and places and games, lifts head and chest on tummytime, shakes rattle, rolls easily to side and back and has occassionally managed to roll fully over, kicks constant when on back, sits with some support. any ideas?
my baby crossed 2 lines on the growth chart - is this failure to thrive?
