I was supposed to move to different apt with same leasing company on 1st of june but they didnt provide the keys and asked to continue in same apt. Now they are asking for rent and late fees from previous apt as well. I might have signed documents in ignorance.
Now they are behaving very rude and sent the charges to collection agency without informing me (i came to know about charges by collection agency). I have email trail where I have requested multiple times for clarification but they havent responded to it.
What should I do ... Collection agency is saying that they can reduce amount to ~400 from ~600 and if I do not pay in 24 hrs they will send it to my credit history... but Ideally i shd not be paying even that. Leasing office associates are talking very rudely.
Please guide ... will going to justice of peace court help?
