Ever since I had my TIF in Deceraber 2009, I have been posting negative comments on this site regarding the procedure. Turns out that the procedure is good, if done by a qualified, competent surgeon. Mine, unfortunately, was not. Turns out that I wasn't even a good candidate for the procedure, but my surgeon did not inform me of this. Guess money was more important to him than treating the patient So, for those of you looking into the TIF procedure, do your homework, see a good gastro guy (I found one in Venice FL) and research your surgeon thoroughly. The procedure itself is pretty painless, 23 hours in the hospital, you're back on your feet the next day, you follow a liquid diet, like the other procedure and life should be good for you within a few weeks. Good luck.
