My android tablet won't turn on?

It's a trio android tablet. I turned it on and it was plugged in to the charger, and i accidentally hit the up volume button and it went to black, and now it won't turn on. I just got this yesterday and i haven't dropped it or anything. I hold the power button and it won't light up, and it won't turn on. I have no idea what to do. Please help :/
