My amp suddenly cut off and now i cant get any amp to work in my car.?

I went and bought a new amp after my other wouldn't cut on anymore because i thought the amp had blown out and now the new amp wont come on but im getting sparks from the ground and the power wires and when i put the power wire to the remote it cuts on for a spit second so is my remote wire connection messed up.
i havent hooked up my subs yet because the amp wont come on i have a protection light and power light neither one is on
