My amp keeps overheating and going into protect mode?

I have a kenwood kac 7205 2 channel 1000 watt amp i am using 4 gauge wire for both the ground and power my ground is connected to the bolt that holds the seat down i have a toyota tacoma 1996 extended cab if you guys know a better spot to put the ground let me know i have it powering two kicker 10 inch cvrs using 16 gauge wire wired in parallel at four ohms bridged it goes into protect mode after about three minutes of music the gain is only three fourths the way up and the bass boost is set all the way up at 18 db and the lpf is set at 50 hertz
