My AMD 1090t with GTX570sc pc runs great on some video games and epic fails on...

...others what am I missing? Some PC games run great others like Dog Sh*t on what shout be a fairly good gaming pc why the crapshoot? Fallout New Vegas, Arcania Gothic 4, Dragon Age 2 all are unplayable while most FPS run amazing. Is it the game or just my rig? Thanks for the Answers!
