My Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, the color is off, pure white turns up yellow-ish how do..

...i fix it? when i try to edit or start a new work the blank white page turns up being a yellowish color instead and so when i am working i can't tell what my actual color will show up as until i view it under my picture. does anyone know how to fix this? i can't find info on adobe
