...car? HELP? We have replaced the motor mounts and trans mount and it helped the shaking a little but not much, we have ruled out that its not a spark problem or anything like that, the car used to run smooth as glass, but with in the last four months the shaking started and has gotten worse, we think it might be the harmonic balancer because there is no noise what so ever coming from the motor or the trans and the shaking gets worse with idle like its in sink, at around 50 mph it gets smooth again them any further or lower speed it just shakes like heck, please some one give me some ideas before i throw any more money i don't have at this car, please thank you
the shaking seems to be in sink with the idle, the car has lost no power, still runs like a champ, no running issues, just shakes like heck, the shaking seems to follow the idle in tune, the harmonic of the motor, like i said it levels off at about 50 or 60 mph but any more or less and it shakes like heck, again there is NO power loss and NO noise from the motor or trans just shakes, any ideas????????????
there are no problems starting or running, no problems other than it shaking, no problems when pressing on the gas or anything, it just goes and runs like it was made to. i just don't understand what it could be, other than a harmonic balancer, any ideas?????
