Hi. My car seems to be overheating and losing power when I go over 50mph. Basically when I drive over 50mph for about 5 mins or if I have to put my foot down anywhere, the car temp gauge goes into red and the car loses power. The fan kicks in when the temp gauge is around half. Also the car will cool down very slowly if I go to a lower speed or take my foot off the gas, but this means that I cannot drive for more than 5-10 mins on a carriageway. The car has been to a garage where they checked the basics and ran some codes, and the could not find anything wrong with it (even though there has to be). The car has been serviced very recently and has plenty of water etc. There is also no steam/smoke coming from the car when it overheats and no warning lights. PLEASE help if you can it would be very ver very appreciated as I have very little money and I dont want to waste my time/money taking it to a garage again for them to just say its fine.
