crank like nothing happened ? Its a '98 Pontiac Grand Am
It is not having any other problems that we can see. We have checked the fuel pressure, changed the fuel pump, changed the spark plugs, changed the air filter, changed the throttle position sensor and a few other things.
Here's what happens:
Sometimes it will go over 1,000 miles before cutting off. Sometimes it will do cut off after 10 miles. When it's about to shut down, it will start shimmying real bad and pumping the gas pedal does nothing. If you try to crank it right after it cuts off, it seems as if it has no gas.
The troubling thing is that if you wait about 30 minutes before cranking, it will crank up like nothing happened and drive like a charm.
I think it could be the crankshaft sensor or the computer... any ideas?
