My 98 honda prelude vibrates on acceleration but not coasting. why?

the car vibrates when i accelerate. i feel the vibrations more towards my feet than anywhere else. once i ease off the gas to coast it stops. my shift knob does not shake and my steering wheel does not shake either. on idle i can hear a click click noise coming from under the valve cover. im guessing i got a loose valve. could that have something to do with it? ive read somewhere that faulty spark plugs can cause this problem as well as CV joint problems or tire balancing problems or clutch plate problems... it vibrates hardest at around 30 - 60 mph. around 80+ mph it is not that noticeable. please help. thanks
