cold air is not the best way to go....a short ram is a lot better for HP but as far as cheaper ways to get more airflow, take out the tube in the bottom of the airbox that goes into the fender. you just have to check the filter a little more often than stock (about the same as you would in an open element CAI or short ram intake) but that 2inch hole that is left in the bottom of the box will let it breath a whole lot better. and itll look stock too which i like, but thats me. then you can get a better flowing drop in filter, but stay away from the k&n's or anything with oil or goo.....it'll give you MAF sensor problems...well it gave me problems when i had it on mine.
