My '96 Mazda 626's hood is smashed. I can't get to the hood latch, even when I

unless your good at welding I wouldnt attempt to fix the headlamp assembly. The cars probably not even worth fixing. And you wont be able to close the hood unless the lacht is aligned with the hood.
 
pop the hood. What do I do? Also, the left headlight is smashed and it's technically illegal to drive right now, but it's my only car. How can I replace the headlight assembly if the housing of the frame is somewhat crumpled?
 
You might need two people.

This kinda happened to my girls car.

One person should pull the hood latch from the inside of the car, while the other is yanking up on the hood as hard as he can, (Maybe smarter to have two puling on the hood and one in the car.)

That way you can have a better view on how to mount the new head light.

Also go to the junk yard and buy a good used one for 10-20 bucks depending on the junk yard.
Plus look for a new hood, and front mounting brackets.
