my 96 jeep cherokee has a ratlle in the engine it sounds as if its coming from

ythe manafold any ideas? the only time it doesn't rattle in when im driving in 4 th gear
i just checked the manifold down to the muff. and its all tight but it sounds like its in the tranny
 
Check the manifold all the way down to the muffler. Probably a hanger or the heat shield on the manifold or the cat converter is loose.
- One of the "teeth" in the gears might be broken off or loose.
Why don't you check one of the jeep cherokee forums listed below. That's what I use before tackling the problem.
