My 96 Ford Explorer won't start?

The car turns so it sounds like its about to start but it doesnt. It's not the battery cause when I turn the ignition it the engone turns but it doesnt start. Any idea what the problem might be. I already replaced the ignition cylinder. This problem happened before but not a lot. I just want to fix the problem before this happens when i'm far from home
